Few Quick Tips

Exercising in the morning is great, but eat first and wait a few minutes before running or whatever it is you plan on doing.
Scales tell you your weight, not your measurements to measure your arms, legs, and waist and write those down in your journal. It's a great way to mark
your progress accurately.
remember this. fasting is NOT starving.
If you start to feel jealous, don't worry it is natural and it is a good motivation for you.
always leave at least 4 hours between your last Meal and when you fall asleep.
While you sleep, keep the fan on or turn the thermostat down. When your body is cold it burns calories to keep warm, even when you are asleep!

Things I Do NOT recommend (8)

46. staying inside 24/7. if you get out and get moving you burn more calories and keep your mind busy.
47. Eating a big breakfast. NO! Have 4 to 6 small meals at around 100 calories throughout the day to keep your metabolism from crashing
48. Not getting enough sleep. Feel tired? Sleep! Being tired makes you feel hungry.
49. Just eat what you are craving. Bad idea you will add a lot of calories this way. If you are craving chocolate (Just a common one) make a low calorie
hot chocolate and make that a snack/meal.
50. Not talking to anyone about being Pro Ana or Mia. Get a buddy or friend who understands. You won't feel alone. BUT MAKE SURE THEY WON'T RAT YOU
OUT TO ANYBODY!
51. Just eating what is on your plate. Sabotage it if you must! Add a lot of salt or pepper or sugar or even something like chili powder so you can't eat it.
52. Eating a lot of bread. If you must eat bread (toast is fine) eat whole grain or wheat bread.
53. Drinking alcohol. Drinking alcohol just adds unwanted calories. Plus if you drink to much you will only wake up hungry and sick!
54. Jumping straight into a full blown fast. Your body will reject this and you can get really sick so each day eat less and less until you are happy with the
amount of calories you are consuming.

Things I Do NOT recommend (5)

37. Putting sweet-n-low in your coffee or tea. UGH no, you should use a no calorie sweetener. you are already adding calories (If drinking coffee) no need
to add more
38. Looking at thinspiration only online. Girl get a magazine. those models are NEVER fat, they are slim and beautiful
39. Not taking your vitamins. at least you can lose the weight and be healthy if you DO take them
40. having multiple journals at a time. Having old journals in boxes is fine but if you have a food diary, exercise journal, thinspiration book, whatever it is.
PUT IT ALL IN ONE
41. Starving yourself completely. your body will plateau and you won't lose weight. just keep restricting
42. not taking care of your skin. You want to take care of your skin in general. I had problems for a long time with acne and now I don't because I am taking
care of body more than I was before
43. not making rules. Set boundaries for yourself. amount of calories allowed everyday, do you want meat in your diet? stuff like that.
44. Trying to cope with hunger pains. If you can make them go away, do it. Take an anti-heartburn pill to settle your stomach.
45. Wearing clothes that are too small. Not a good idea, people will notice your weight shifts too easily and will start asking questions. Wear loose fitting clothes
to help conceal your body until you are at the size you want to be at. Only wear the tight clothes in front of people who accept a Pro Ana lifestyle.

SI wound treatment

Self-Inflicted Wounds (in case you don't know the shortened form)

A lot of girls I have met who are also anorexic have cut in the past or still do so this info goes to you.

Before anything else, stop the bleeding. Put pressure on it with gauze, not a tissue because when the wound is clotting to stop the bleeding it takes in the tissue. Gauze is too thick. Don't bother checking constantly to see if the bleeding has stopped it will don't worry.
After the bleeding has stopped, clean up the wound a bit with just water.
Applying an antibiotic is alright but don't put too much.
Cover the wound and change the bandage daily.

NOTE- If the wound is deep and won't stop bleeding Please get medical help. Even if they put you on a suicide  watch, it will only be for the fact you cut NOT the fact that you aren't eating. So make them think you just aren't hungry during the watch but still eat a bit to keep them away from the subject. You will get the help you need and no one will bother with your eating habits as long as you know what to say.

Ana Creed

Decided to post The Ana Creed for many reasons.
1. I have it in my PA (pro ana) Journal
2. I may not agree with every last one of these but I agree with the message completely.
3. I was asked to put it up to keep a few motivated so here it is :)

I believe in Control, the only force mighty enough to bring order to the chaos that is my world.
I believe that I am the most vile, worthless and useless person ever to have existed on this planet, and that
I am totally unworthy of anyone's time and attention.
I believe that other people who tell me differently must be idiots. If they could see how I really am, then they
would hate me almost as much as I do.
I believe in oughts, musts and shoulds as unbreakable laws to determine my daily behavior.
I believe in perfection and strive to attain it.
I believe in salvation through trying just a bit harder than I did yesterday.
I believe in calorie counters as the inspired word of god, and memorize them accordingly.
I believe in bathroom scales as an indicator of my daily successes and failures
I believe in hell, because I sometimes think that I'm living in it.
I believe in a wholly black and white world, the losing of weight, recrimination for sins, the abnegation of the
body and a life ever fasting.

Things I Do NOT reccomend (4)

28. Just throwing away food. Someone could find it, wrap it up in paper towels or flush it down the toilet.
29. eating before you go to bed then laying on your right side. It's true laying on your right side helps with digestion, but you don't burn off all the calories you just consumed.
WEIRD FACT!!! Laying on your left side helps with circulation, so it you have poor blood flow, lay on your left side and it will help some
30. What is out of sight is out of mind. Not true you still think about it, so keep your mind busy on other things. paint, rearrange furniture, etc.
31. Not cooking home made meals. WRONG! homemade vegetable soup is great, one bowl has few calories and the soup lasts for a few days, even a week if you make a lot.
32. eating with the family Every night. It's not so easy to get out of this sometimes but I ended up finding a few shows that my parents LOVE and are only on during dinner hours. they are in front of the TV and I can throw the food out easier. (Works vice-versa as well, say YOU found a new show and ask for them to watch it with you as a family)
33. Placing food in your hoodie pockets. Not a ad idea necessarily, but some food gets mushy and then you are stuck explaining the food everywhere on your clothes.
34. Not keeping busy. Take a dance class, get into painting, do something. Everything burns calories!
35.  Not having a food diary. Bad idea, you need this. Well, you want this. you want this because you can ALWAYS look back and see your progress and see if you are eating too much or need to just be more active.
36. Getting your food first. I say get it last, that's what I do. That way I can act like I'm eating it before I sit down and already throw out some. If your parents notice food in the trash say you dropped some but already cleaned it up.

THE EFFECTS OF JUNK FOOD/CANDY

Well first off, you will gain weight. A lot of weight.
You will be bloated all the time.
Junk food is horrible for your skin. It can make it blotchy and break out.
Your immune system will weaken after not eating well
Your metabolism will crash!
It weighs you down and makes you tired
It will make you sick, there is way to much sugar in junk food
You could become a diabetic if you constantly eat sweets (which most people do once they start...)

It ages you!
Do you want to be part of the obese pandemic? Nooo
Fast Food, Junk food, Too much food all effect your heart, liver, stomach, lungs, everything Negatively
Carbs! Calories! Cholesterol! Did I say Calories? Cause you can guarantee those will stack up.

On your hips, thighs, sides, stomach, and everywhere else.

Things I don't recommend (3)

19. Binging and purging often. I don't recommend this because you only "get rid of" 80% of the calories you originally consumed. Say you binged at McDonald's and ate 3000 calories, you will only purge 2400 calories. 600 will still stay in your system... That's more than a day's worth of calories to some.
20. Drinking a lot of coffee. May I say again. Unneeded calories. Never drink more than 2 cups past 12 noon if you must have it, and mark the calories down.
21. Wearing a corset to slim your waist. You want to see REAL results, not corset results.
22. Choose just any thinspiration. No you should choose one with your body type. hourglass, pear, etc.
23. Eating the same foods everyday. Change it up. You will get bored too easily if you eat the same thing over and over.
24. Stop eating dairy. I don't recommend this. Cottage cheese is sometimes a meal to me, and yogurt.
25. Not adding soup to your diet. Really? Some are less than 100 calories for the whole can. That's a whole meal and is guaranteed to fill you up!
26. HCG diet. out of personal experience. It didn't do anything for me, at all. Why? Because I already eat a low calorie diet. And the HCG diet it is NOT FDA approved.
27. Eating a lot of fruit for a meal. It has a lot of nature sugar. 'Nuff said.

Quickie!

My grandparents came to visit for a few days and I had to give up my room, and was stuck in my mom's sewing room on an air mattress that didn't want to stay blown up. Needless to say I had the best excuse not to eat when we went to eat Mexican food. They asked if I was hungry I said I slept wrong and my back and head were hurting. I have related being in pain to not hungry with my parents over the past few years that way if "my head hurts," I don't have to eat in front of them. They always believe me and never force food down my throat the rest of the day.

Halloween tips

If you get invited to go out with friends, say you and our family had plans for the neighborhood kids and stay in if you aren't up for going out.
If you are one who goes trick or treating (I still do! my friends walk all around the lake with pillow cases so we burn SOO many calories in one night) then feel free to go out:) it's fun and like I said, you burn a lot of calories in one night just walking around.
Got all that extra candy and you know you should NOT eat it? donate it to the kids across the street saying you and your friends have way too much, take some
and put it in a bowl and put it in your room. Every day unwrap a few, throw away the candy, and leave the wrappers where your family and friends will see
them. They will think you joined in on the Halloween binging.
Remember what candy you threw away and take the trash out before someone else does. If there isn't a lot of trash in there somebody will see it.

Hiding it from others; A few more tips

Don't raise suspicions with anyone. Don't call yourself fat in front of others.
Go to the kitchen often, even just to get water and sit it there for a few minutes if no one else is in there. It will seem suspicious if you don't go in there often. (My parents say that's the only reason they know "know" I eat, cause I go back a forth a few times between lunch and dinner. I only get water or a small snack sometimes though:)
If people do start to ask questions, the worst thing to do is get angry. They will say you are being defensive and then it is obvious you are hiding something.
Do you share a computer with someone? Delete the history often!
If you do happen to purge, do so when people are still at the table or eating together. If you run water right after you eat, it becomes obvious. The rest of the time at the table just say you are full.
Another If You Purge tip, wear a glove and hold it on with the other hand so you don't swallow it. This prevents those burns on your hands that you can get.
Wearing make-up when you are in front of others is a good idea if you are starting to get pale.
Don't wear Too baggy of clothes, it becomes a bit obvious. wear between "these fit great" and "these are way too big"
Black is slimming but also bad in this case. wear brighter colors if you are up for it. Brighter colors make people think you are really happy and also they aren't as slimming and can distract people from noticing your ever shrinking body.
DOCTOR! Drink a ton of water ( I suggest Smartwater because it adds electrolytes) before you go in or a lot of water and a Gatorade. only 50 calories for a Gatorade.
If you can afford it, go for a tanning membership and go once or twice a week. Even if you are pale, you won't be for long. Most memberships cost around 30 dollars a month though.

A few more tips and tricks

Weight loss pills do help, but you can add a caffeine pill to it after knowing it's effect on you. It will help keep you energized if you start to lag a bit.
Get a buddy, someone else who is Ana or at least Pro Ana. It keeps you motivated and keeps you On Task!
If you feel like you have to eat a lot, eat in front of a mirror. Every bite will add weight to your body and you will see it.
Drinking coffee is alright occasionally but Tea is MUCH better. No calories and plenty of flavors to choose from.
If you are really craving something and just can't get it out of your head- go into the kitchen, get the food you want out take a bite and chew it. DO NOT SWALLOW IT. spit it out after a few bites and then wash your mouth out three or four times with water to make sure you don't swallow any unwanted calories.
(If this is like you) Pick one food a day once you've really got a habit going. Like an apple or orange. Cut it into 6 pieces and makes those your meals throughout the day
Don't be too afraid to have a snack every once in a while. Just make sure it is a very low to no calorie food.
Have a favorite model or actress you look up to for thinspiration? Keep pictures up of them up so you have constant triggers
Sleep! Sleep! Sleep! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
If you start to feel achy take a warm bath and drink some hot tea to relax. When you are out rub your legs (or where ever is sore) to relax the muscles. Trust me, this helps.
Vary your intake every few days. on the weekends add a few more calories that way you are more energized (since you are more likely to be around people more at this time).

Things I Do NOT recommend! (2)

10. Eating any kind of mints. No, you should definitely get sugar free. They have less calories.
11. Drinking only energy drinks. Bad Idea! It effects your heart.
12. Drinking only one type of tea. you could get tired of having just one flavor. However, If you are going to drink only one type make it Oolong tea. There are A LOT of benefits to this tea on top of weight loss
On the down side though, it can get pricey:/
13. Only marking your progress with a scale. Try measurements too, that way if you are retaining water you will be able to tell and write it down as water retention, not a plateau.
14. Excercising right before you eat. You will feel sick and will probably get a headache. Space these things out a bit.
15. Buying jeans 3 sizes to small. Buy the next size down, you will feel much better about your progress and will be able to track it easier:)
16. Marking off only one "bad" or "no no" food a week off your safe foods list. If you want to stay away make sure they are ALL marked off your list from the beginning. Otherwise you will be putting bad foods and MORE calories in your system for longer.
17. Only getting salads at restaurants. People will start to ask questions way to easily. Get a piece of fish or chicken. Added protein and even though you probably won't eat all of it people will see you are eating. And that is the goal in this case.
18. Drinking soda. You will get bloated and you will add more calories. So I don't recommend sodas whatsoever.

Cutting Calorie Tricks:)

If you have to go out and eat with family or friends, order a low cal appetizer and say you got full on that! Just drink a lot of water too and you really will.

Always keep an exercise journal. It helps motivates you to cut back on calories so if you hate working out you have less to burn off.

"Walk and talk"- If you talk on the phone a lot or have to for work, keep walking around when you are on the phone, you burn more calories than just sitting there taking the call.

Cut back on the salad dressing. If you just dip your fork in the dressing then get a bite of the salad you will cut back sometimes a LOT of calories.

Along the lines of the last one, order a salad at restaurants and do the same little maneuver and you will get full and cut back more calories.

Watch how much coffee you have, have too much and you have consumed too many calories.

Go nuts! So to speak, anyway lol. Eating 1/4 cup nuts a day (healthy ones) can help keep weight off in the long run.

Don't just do nothing. Keep moving all the time!

Make sure you sleep well, even if that means a little more than usual. Sleeping less helps keep your metabolism up and you can't eat when you sleep, so less calories added to your diet!

and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cover tight and let it sit for 15-20 minutes or until thickest part of
the breast registers 160 degrees. Chicken will be cooked through. Let it cool and cut into small cubes.

Today's adventure!

It was actually pretty chilly last night!:) Yay! I can't wait for winter! Waking up absolutely freezing though? Not as fun lol. A plus to the cold though, more calories burned to keep your body warm! That's always good:)

Anyway, after I got up and got around I had one of my totally-not-famous-but-should-be breakfast smoothies:)

4 ounces UNsweetened frozen berries
2 ounces low-fat yogurt
1 and 1/2 cups green tea (zero calories)

Right around 75 calories.

(I saw a recipe like this once and it added Truvia sweetener and a whole banana, I haven't tried it personally but I know that can add up to 100 calories MORE depending on the size.)

For lunch I made vegetable soup, which I actually LOVE. It's Progresso (Light), and only 120 calories for the entire can.
(I didn't eat all of it. My mom ended up sharing with me so I calculated 90 calories on my part.)

***If you end up sharing food with someone and aren't sure just how many calories you consumed, add a little bit more than you think you ate Just to be safe! I would rather add a few too many then not enough. Because when you work out you will think you burned off all the calories you ate but maybe you really didn't:/

After Lunch, I didn't eat anything until about 4 PM.
No snacks or anything.

For dinner, I experimented with zucchini, and it actually turned out good! It's like a pizza but instead of using crust you use the zucchini.

4 BIG slices of zucchini
sprayed with Pam spray olive oil on both sides. Very lightly!
Broil on high for 2 minutes on each side
Season one side with a little bit of salt and pepper
pizza sauce jar (NO I did not use the whole thing haha)
2 teaspoons of that pizza sauce on each slice
1/4 cup SKIM mozzarella spread out on all 4 slices.
Broil again on high for 1 to 2 minutes.

ALL FOUR rounds together are only 140 calories!!

I almost burned one of mine so be careful not to burn them! Haha.

ALL calories added up
breakfast- 75 calories
lunch- 90 calories
dinner- 140 calories
TOTAL- 305 calories:)

I ran this evening a little less than usual but still burned right around 800 calories! Plus I am going to the gym for the stair climber in a few minutes:)

Usually I have 4 or 5 five small meals throughout the day, but today I made it 3 small meals. I just woke up in an Amazing and not hungry mood today:)

Things I Do NOT recommend! (1)

I will be posting a new list every week or so!

1. Laxatives, they really don't work all that great. However, natural laxatives like grapes and prunes (if you can eat them) work pretty well.Write down the calories of each though
2. Water, hot water that is. Some people think it helps But you burn less calories with hot water because your body has to burn calories by warming up the cold water.
3. Sleeping only 6 or 7 hours. That's crazy, the more I sleep the less I eat or am tempted to eat. So I say sleep as much as you can. Take a nap even:) Everyone loves a good nap! Lol.
4. Adding spices to everything. I agree that spicy foods burn more calories but if you add spices to EVERYTHING you will get tired of it and eventually stop using the spices altogether.
5. Eating on a dark plate. It just makes your food look a little different. Just eat on smaller plates that way it Tricks the brain into thinking there is more food than there really is.
6. Eating sweets at breakfast time. I don't recommend sweets at all. Sugar free is the way to go if you must though.
7. Drinking vinegar. Uh, gross?! It does NOT suck the fat out of things, it just sits in your stomach and makes you sick for hours.
8. Just go vegan. No no no. I recommend sugar free jello as a binge food and vegans don't eat it. You are limited to even less foods (which isn't too bad) But you will not be healthy. Your goal should be to be thin and healthy. It keeps the family and doctors quiet if you go regularly.
9. Getting something around your mouth pierced. Nope, you will just feel held back by a piece of metal. I got my cheeks pierced once (yeah I know... haha) But I ended up biting down on the inside balls everytime I would speak. That was just uncomfortable.

HIDING IT FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Always have excuses, such as you ate at school or work, in town, or you are planning a huge dinner later on.
Hide the weight loss by wearing loose fit clothing.
If people do start to notice your diet change, tell them you are on a diet or you have become a veggie/vegan.
Blame it on the flu!
If you are ever caught purging, blame it on food poisoning.
HIDE YOUR FOOD DIARY! Hide it under a million things or in a stuffed bookshelf and mark it something boring so no one notices it.
When you have to eat with the family or out in town, spit the food in your napkin. Do Not Swallow.
Go to the kitchen, get a few cookies (any fattening snack), bring them to your room and Throw them away! leave a few crumbs on the plate and then walk by your parents with the empty plate. But make sure no one will find the food. Example, flush it.
Just put a few dishes in the sink and claim you ate earlier.
Don't show off your weight loss until you've lost all that you want to lose.
Do you take diet pills as well? Good. Hide them in your vitamin bottles.
When you go out with friends buy fast food, then say you will eat it when you get home.
When grocery shopping with others, buy foods you wouldn't dream of eating. Your family will assume you will eat it since you are buying it.
Wake up late when you are able to, you can't eat when you are asleep right?

HIDING IT FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Wear make-up, just in case you are pale that day.
Drink an energy drink (sugar free, low calorie) before you go in that way you are "perky."
When (and IF) your doctor asks about your weight loss say you just stopped eating meat recently. Make sure to say you are starting supplements so he doesn't get suspicious.
If your doc asks you what you have been eating tell him non meat items that are healthy. Just say what you think they want to hear.
Don't wear Too big of clothes when going to the doctor, they are trained to look for that. But dress warmly so it ups your temperature.
